Friends with benefits??

MaryJanine · 61-69, F
I recently moved from the city to the suburbs. Being disabled with a walker, I can't manage to get from the fourth floor to the back alley with trash or recycleables. Nor can I get upstairs alone with a load of groceries. Sometimes, there are packages, too.

Enter my hero, David. I met him about a week into my residence into this building.
He not only helps me with these things, but is very strong, handy, smart where it counts. I worried about him when he thought he had virus19 which turned out to be URI instead. I feel so spoiled by him - I don't know how I got along without him before. He is a REAL "friend with benefits".

@MaryJanine now I could use one of those types!
MaryJanine · 61-69, F
@Mbingh01 If he's willing to go and has the time (not at work, I mean) I will gladly share him. He has other friends in this place , true, but before I made his acquaintance I had to do for myself. David likes to help people (he told me so).

Here it is someone who has a Black & Decker power drill with all attachments.

I despise that phrase.

@Mbingh01 So do I.

Not my thing
MaryJanine · 61-69, F
@Elessar Not your thing? You mean, you don't want the help of a friend who is willing to give you a hand in whatever you are doing? David is a FRIEND - A GOOD FRIEND - neither of us are looking for romance, and both of us KNOW it.

@Justenjoyit He does EVERYTHING. I wish he could be someone I could divide up and offer to my SW friends.
