Why do nutjobs see 'Satan' or 'evil' in almost everything?

I had a born again friend who said I should get rid of my earrings because it had [i]Satan's symbol[/i] on it. Here's the earring in question.

Edit: it's been 2 years since I bought the earrings and I haven't been possessed nor got a visit from Satan yet. 🤣🤣🤣
