I accidentally stole a pen a couple of weeks ago. I tucked into my bag when I was putting my other things away. Unfortunately the owner noticed and asked for it back. :/

Well if the owner noticed, and asked for it back, and I am guessing at which point you returned it I guess you didn't steal it.
