@SmartKat Never be ashamed that we are American, be ashamed of our politicians and mass media, as well as brain dead voters, for allowing this to happen. If anything, blame the mass media and the DNC for pushing an unpopular and weak candidate, which caused someone like shrump to win.

When I personally do something to be ashamed of, I feel ashamed.

People all over the world might assume that because I’m American, I’m okay with Trump and the right-wingers.

IMHO, being OK with Trump (and what the right wing has turned into) is something to be ashamed of.

Therefore, I’m ashamed.

@Fernie It seems I didn’t explain this well. I’m a liberal Democrat. (Left wing wacko by American standards; middle of the road by world standards.) No way do I support Trump, the Republican Party, or conservatism in general.

@Fernie As far as I am concerned, unless someone lives, works, and pays taxes, here in America, they need to shut the eff up, it is none of their concern. For example, even though I am of strong British heritage, and have many Friends in England, I keep my mouth shut concerning Brexit, it does not directly affect me.

Hey Kat. From a Brits point of view it's really refreshing to hear an American express dissatisfaction over the Trump issue without doing it in an ever more devise manner. But shame isn't required, or even appropriate, the only ones who deserve to feel ashamed are the ones who still stubbornly idolise him. @SmartKat
