What was the stupidest thing you did as a kid?

My cousin bound magasines to his shoes and slid around on his carpet at home when he was around three years old. This was all fun and games until he fell down and broke his fucking femur in a spiral fracture. At the hospital, they set it without anesthetic for god knows why; the medical professionals responsible were berated for the decision afterwards. Apparently, the poor child screamed when they drove past that hospital for years afterwards.

He wore a gigantic cast that extended the whole way down his leg and up part of his torso. I was a baby at the time, and didn't really notice.

Jumping in the deep end of the pool, and I could not swim. [Still can't.]

Be glad you weren't scraped off by the horse on a tree. A friend had her own horse and the horse did that to her for no obvious reason. She was dragged since the stirrup did not break away. It was immediately fatal. She was a great rider and a wonderful human. Wear a helmet and beware trees.
