I have both, just be responsible with the credit card. There are times a credit card is better, like when renting a car. They put a $500 deposit on the card, so if it is the debit card you are out $500 until you return the card and they refund the amount. With a credit card you are not having your money impacted, will not get interest on the card before it is taken off.
