Playing guitar.

Why in the world would you be embarrassed by that,@JustGoneNow?
@Carla I had quit piano’s lessons and bought a guitar. I hated piano.
@Carla My Mom wanted me to be a concert pianist but three years was enough. I really hated it. lol

Well..@JustGoneNow, you should oughta be proud of yourself. You gave up on the piano, but not music.
@Carla I love music. It’s my life but it’s the first time I had ever challenged their rules. The three years of piano did teach me to read music, though. That was good.

@JustGoneNow, i envy (i know i shouldn't) folks with artistic abilty. Be it music, putting pen to paper, painting, etc. I took a music class when i was in junior high. Reading music was impossible for me. It certainly isnt a walk in the park.
I hope your challenge was taken as healthy.

@Carla Yeah. We got through it. My Mom’s my best friend.

Very cool,@JustGoneNow. 😊
@Carla Coming out, orientation wise, many years later was the toughest thing I had ever done up until then. I was so scared. My Mom is my best friend and my Dad is my hero. I was so scared I was going to lose them but my best friend Sam had taught me how to truly be bravely you, so I steeled up my courage and walked in with my beautiful black girlfriend and told them the news. Makes me heart race right now just thinking back.
