@BrattyMel well you have to be a cheerful giver for the principle to work
Give and it will be given back to you ,pressed down and running over ?
I was praying and asking for a wife back ,but God knew what I needed better then I did ,,,
He gave me back my kids I hadn't seen in 12 years
The principle is sound ,and God is a rewarder of those who seek Him first
I could go on about how many blessings I have received because I am a cheerful giver ,but now days no one has real faith
That is also one of the requirements ,,you believe you will receive
and accept it may not come in your timing ,,or be always what you prayed for
But I hated God until I was 34 ,,disabled ,lost everything including my wife
and I had nothing left ,,and I had no where to turn
Then I heard the voice of the Lord ,and was blessed
Giving to the Lord and His children is never a bad thing ,,
how you get blessed from it ,,that depends on the condition of your heart
If you don't believe God is a rewarder of those who seek Him
Your right ,,,its a waste of time ,and money ,,He is not a Gene

@SW-User I have been richly blessed by God ,,my kids were the beginning of many blessings to follow ..He is a rewarder of those who truly serve Him
He also healed my crippled daughter who was in a wheel chair for 4 yrs
now her spine looks like she never had a bone disease
I hate how people blame God when He does not answer prayers the way they expect ,,but I do understand ,,it is getting harder to believe and have faith when all you hear now days is God is man made ,the Bible written to control man .
But I was guilty too ,,until I had no where else to turn
And just spoke to Him
"OK if you are real ,Help me ,I have no where else to turn " and He did
I am thankful I lost it all now ,,and even with a bone disease myself
I know who enables me ,and takes very good care of my family
When I am asked ,,,well what about all the other people who suffer and they believe ?
I can't speak for them ,and its not my job to defend God
I can only testify about things I know ,and how He has blessed me
His ways are not my ways ,,and I have prayed a lot of prayers
that I am thankful now He had other plans ,,its my hardships that have built my faith ,,now I know when its a prayer I need Him
or something that He wants me to do ,,we are His body on earth
and not everything requires a miracle ,,just a servant ,willing to listen
and do what He already told us to do
And giving is a huge part of that ,,but it had to be from a cheerful heart
Not one blaming God because they will be short ,,or lack the faith to believe He can do what He said He will do
