It wasn't a tradition in my family growing up, which was fine with me. And my birthday wasn't during the school year so I escaped getting them at school also.

I loved giving them to other kids or watching other kids get them, though. 😃

@Badseed This image reminds me of the birthday spankings we got in class when I was in first grade. I remember turning my head back to see my teacher as she was performing it on me. She looked back and asked me; "you like this, don't you?" I did.
