The “n” word. By anybody.

@bijouxbroussard 🤗 agreed
@bijouxbroussard What really surprises me, is that between African-American men, it’s almost come to to mean a sign of affection.???

@CereBellum that's the "hood" mentality but not all of us are like that it's just plain ignorance
@SW-User Thanks for qualifying that. I really had no idea what they were thinking.

@CereBellum black people fail to realize that until we stop calling ourselves that word it gives other people the right to
@SW-User Oh Hell NO! Not even in my vocabulary.

@CereBellum it's a double edged sword i see why other races use the word but it is still wrong
@SW-User Absolutely right. It angers me when people like Ice Cube, who folks take seriously, have the nerve to get angry when someone white says it by saying, “it’s our word, now”. It’s not our word, and it can’t be, as long as groups like the KKK are still using it. And why would we even want to own a word that has historically degraded us ? I remember when people thought “taking back” the word would “remove the power”. We cannot take back what was never ours. And obviously the power persists. Some black people horribly miscalculated there.
