Backward spikes

On my way to cross the international border the other day, I drove near the Duty Free shop. It's where you can purchase items a little cheaper. You are supposed to go in, buy your stuff and exit out the other side to cross the border. Coming back the way you entered isn't possible because they have backward spikes there.

As I drove up I noticed a car just past the entrance facing the wrong way. All 4 of his tires were flat and he was on his phone calling for help.

Hahaha and the car was full of drugs.
@Pitchblue Yea, I was wondering if maybe he is calling his friend with the tow truck knowing the guy will get him home, so he doesn't have to cross the border and he still gets to keep the cheap booze and cigs. Maybe its a big enough savings to warrant losing 4 cheap tires. lol
You see all kind of people who mistakenly drive up to the border with pot or they are drinking etc on that Border Guard show.
@Pitchblue It could be interesting being a border guard. I wonder if it makes a person forever paranoid though, never knowing who you can really trust after a while.
@UreBesFrend I've done work at some of the smaller borders on the US Canada border with only one guard. This guy told me people are constantly bringing guns with them and Canada does not allow them. The biggest deterrent at this border crossing was there was 300 miles after the crossing on one road before any gas station or connecting roads. You can shoot the guard but you get caught on the road.
