Have you ever over heard someone getting rejected ?

😳 serious second hand embarrassment.
I was at the book store and the cashier was ringing me up, but she ended up messing something up and had to get help from another employee. The guy behind me (waiting in line) immediately attempts to start a conversation with the second employee who comes to the cash register and she shuts it down really fast. It was just extremely obvious that she wasn’t even interested in having a brief conversation with him so I was a bit confused that he didn’t see the signs because I felt it was pretty obvious she wasn’t interested. Even after that, he asks her out and she pretty much rejects him, she didn’t really say anything she just did an awkward laugh and walked away. As soon as I’m done with my purchase my friend and I immediately leave (my friend was with me throughout this whole ordeal) it was just extremely cringy and embarrassing, and it’s not long before he’s behind us and he then trips in the parking lot and falls and it was just really sad and embarrassing. 😔
