Why is it OK to go to a beach wearing a bikini, but at the same time, going to great lengths to make sure nobody sees your panties or bra?

@NorthernRoses I think Europeans are a little easier with this, they go swimming in their panties and bra, no need for a bikini.

I have lived all over Europe and never seen that but I have seen them change at the side of the pool out of their bikini into their street clothes.

Swedish kids just go naked at the public beaches, right up to pre puberty age. Portugal was all topless.

Everywhere I have been in Europe Pre puberty kids swim naked most of the time. Even in England which is probably the most prudish country in Europe.

Let me follow up my previous post by saying that is just my experience. The Europeans among us can probably talk more about it.
