Are kids allowed on SW?

Are kids allowed on here? I saw a 16 yr old with a profile and I thought it was "adults only"

There are lots of people who lie about their ages also. It's a shame there isn't safeguards to make sure that all entered information is correct, it would save lots of problems that seem to happen on here. This is includes ages being wrong and gender being wrong.
