@pennynoodles I like to get the exercise.

It's the spiders that live in the same 'home' as the lawnmower that puts me off. @cherokeepatti

@pennynoodles I don't have much of a problem with spiders but I hate scaring up the snakes, sometimes we have venomous ones here. Have to be careful when cutting grass or weeds near a fence with hand clippers.

Yikes.. we don't have any venomous creatures at all over here. @cherokeepatti

@pennynoodles I've had 3 family members bit by venomous snakes and my daughter barely got away from one, I sat on a hollow log with a water moccasin inside of the hole (the log was in a shallow spring). Too many close calls. I dream about moving to a place that has no snakes, like New Zealand.

We only have grass snakes, vipers or adders that probably would bite if you irritated them but they're not going to kill you. I've only ever seen a grass snake that was taking a dip in my pond @cherokeepatti

@pennynoodles It's accidentally stepping on them or disturbing them like picking up a board or moving something that they are hiding under. I was pulling some grass next to the fence behind the fig bushes and smelled a snake, a lot of stink and it got scared. Some of them emit a musky dead animal smell when they get scared.
