Look left, then right, then left again listening and looking carefully before crossing the street. At night in the city if you are alone walking to your car, hold your keys in your hand and be talking to someone on your cell phone while paying attention. Don't stare straight into the eyes of the guard type dogs, like Dobermans, German Shepherds, pit-bulls, and rottweilers....etc.
Study hard and work hard and save your money. You will be much happier when you grow old.

If you have to go to a hospital, if possible, don't check in on or around any holiday date. At those times, hospitals are staffed only minimally and they will amaze you with their incompetence and lack of attention to your situation. However, if you have to wind up in a hospital on a holiday, be sure you have a friend or relative to act as your advocate there and who will actively monitor your situation and insist on decent treatment for you.
