How can I block a person - as you describe - who has not requested my friendship yet...??

A few time for the really obnoxiously inane.

I mute them. These people tend to ask questions or make stories only, and don't respond to stories produced by others, so muting them eliminates them from your feed and saves you a block.

I just block those that cannot get past the election, climate worshippers and those that irritate me

I block the toilet fetishists, urgh! No thanks

If I blocked everyone idiotic, I'd have to block myself. So I don't block much to avoid being a hypocrite.
