Intensified hurricanes taking out coastal oil refineries would almost be poetic justice, if not for the cost falling on the consumer.

Other than the builders of refineries were foolish to put them in hurricane alley there is no relationship between hurricanes and refineries. There were hurricanes and worse hurricanes long before there were refineries and should all the refineries shut down tomorrow there will be worse hurricanes in the future.
