Asian is often a useless adjective.

Russians, Chinese, and Indians don't look the same. Their foods are quite different, too. Hey, let's visit some Asians and have some Asian cuisine!

Honestly I think when they invented the word Asian, they're like, "you know just to make things easier let's put all the other races together and call them Asians..."
