Lets talk about how commercial advertising affects the percieved demand in an economy.

Why are things like diamonds and gold percieved as valuable as a personal item?

Wtf is modern art?

Why do we think things like eggs and oatmeal are specifically breakfast food? Or steak and potatoes specifically supper?

Why did you buy a cyber truck?

How much did you pay for that sketchy medication thats supposed to fix all your problems without effort?

Why did you pay extra for an iPhone when an android is clearly the superior product?

Remember when lead and asbestos was a great idea?

Wtf is a labubu for?

Why do you want a car with 300hp when the speed limit is usually 60kmph?

Why would you by an item based on prestige when it changes every few years?

Percieved value is has been a marketing scam for 6000 years.

Same can be said about religion, economic systems, nationalism... it's all a scam so that a tiny number of people can get more stuff than anyone else.
