Looking on from Canada, one of the worst things about this moment in history is how many institutions and organizations are preemptively kowtowing to Trump. It does not look as if the Smithsonian was directly ordered to remove the references to Trump's impeachments... they are just responding to generic pressure to toe the line.

This is affecting us here in Canada too! I just heard on the news that a Toronto-based showcase for young women musicians, part of a really important mentoring program, has lost a bunch of sponsors -- companies in Canada but with headquarters in the USA, who are apparently worried that supporting female musicians is too "EDI" and will get them in trouble in the States. 😡

@ThePatientAnarchist ughh all while i have a trans friend whose job is being threatened by someone inventing false complaints against only she and one other trans girl. DEI saves lives!!

The wording they use is not "impeached"; it's something like "seriously threatened by removal from office."
So, since neither Clinton nor Trump were in any danger of being convicted in the Senate, I would say Clinton's name should be removed from the exhibit as well.

foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@TryingtoLava the redemption story, tho, could be God's vengeance against those who have persecuted His people: slaves, undocumented, lgbtqia..
@foldedunfolding i voted for kamala and a better future not the dark timeline so im not worried bout vengeance

The past was alterable. The past never had been altered. Oceania was at war with Eastasia. Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia.
