I swear its always something...

Tree trimmers, plumbers, roofers, jeez Not too long ago, maybe a month or so ago i guess, i bought new beds and mattresses for everyone. So my baby girl has one of those memory foam mattresses, i bought all new sheets, comforters, got her a new nightstand, new full length mirrors i try to keep everyone's bedrooms, cozy and sheek. So i wanted to see what her new mattress felt like. So I laid on her bed. I'm looking at the ceiling and i see a water stain on the ceiling I'm like wtf so i call my husband, he was at work, to tell him im going to call our repair man. Anyways there was a leak in the attic, something dealing with the ac and a drip pan, he got it fixed. I had forgotten all about it. Alexa just texted me saying dont forget about your appointment tomorrow for the ceiling painters i forgot all about it 🤦‍♀i swear i cannot catch a break.

I assume from this that you own your own house and not paying strata fees. Look at all the money you save by doing it yourself. We lived in an apartment for a few years and paying $400/month in strata fees, and maybe a few times a year we ever had to have anything fixed. Total waste of money, but then I guess having someone else mow the grass, weed, and plant flowers is nice since we hate doing that, but they spend our money on all kinds of things we never use and don't care about too.
@JamesBugman Looks like it is called HOA in Texas?

Ugh, can relate. It has been a never ending procession of my $$ going elsewhere of late .. even with the "handy" gene saving me from hiring a lot of stuff out

@BrandNewMan I'm sorry that you are going through it too i wouldn't wish that on anyone.
@AngelUnforgiven Likewise for you. Hoping to see some changes as the year progresses and new situations arise for some of my expense streams.
