Thats why we admit our mistakes.
Quick a mistake offended or made feel uncomfortable someone. Pride in not being wrong stops the other person to not want to admit the mistake (embarrassed to be incorrect). So the person offend now avoids interaction with the person that made them uncomfortable. So in acknowledging the mistake which might and likely should include an apology. The offended party can calm a little maybe they dont avoid as much. Example
Called out. So his cousin transferred to his school. So excited he Starts telling everyone. Eventually hyping up the image to beyond realistic. A mistake. The transfer cousin cant live up to those expectations. Becomes withdrawn. The social opportunities at the new school are silenced by a single mistake /misrepresentation. So i was wrong and now i see her more often nearby. Admit u r wrong.
