What’s wrong with people? Vegan mom, 38, starved her toddler to death over 18 months by feeding him only raw vegetables and fruit.

This is why I always say, raw vegans need to be wholly excised from the vegan movement; they're anti-scientific and they're cancerous to human life, broadly. Furthermore, adopting a vegan diet for children w/o consulting an accredited dietitian -- or at least getting regular check-ups -- is wildly irresponsible even if it hadn't been some wacky-ass blender concoction. This particular story should be taken with a grain of salt since it's from The Sun, but god knows there are people IRL who would totally do this kind of obnoxious shit.
@BlueVeins Well, I looked up different stories now - and it seems they neglected their other kids too. I am in agreement with the pinch of salt, but still it’s not normal behaviour. Who doesn’t notice that their child isn’t doing well?

@LilithoftheTrees Yeah, and there's a vlogger who verifiably does pretty much this exact same thing except worse to her children, who sorta drifts from country to country to avoid having her kids taken away by authorities. If batman was real, they'd be locked up in an asylum somewhere.
@Chickie I don’t know any so I wouldn’t know. I mean I think people can follow any diet they like but enforcing that in children or others to the detriment of their health is messed up.

@BlueVeins what the hell!
@Chickie oh dear. I don’t know what to say. There are many sides to a coin I guess. I was just shocked by this story.

@Chickie Vegans consume less water resources, less arable land, emit less greenhouse gasses, and cause less water pollution than carnists in the vast, vast majority of cases. It's fine if you say we're annoying; I make very little effort not to be. But our choice not to exploit and kill sentient beings substantively benefits all of humanity -- yourself included -- so maybe stop being such a crybaby.
@Chickie @BlueVeins please don’t argue on my post, obviously these parents are mentally not all there…besides anyone’s diet choices.

@LilithoftheTrees I will respect your wishes. Clearly, this mother's actions are informed by problems far more deep-seated by any vegan/carnist divide.
@BlueVeins thank you.

@Chickie I'd be happy to continue this discussion in PM chat or a specifically designated thread.. I don't claim to be a perfect person, but I'd like to limit further intrusions here.
