I don’t but we all go on a night out drinking with our 18 year old coworker when we’re 30+. It’ll be different if I was 50 and inviting a young 18 year old guy round for a pizza on my own.
@Gingerbreadspice who is “we”? I don’t have any friends under the age of 24. I certainly don’t drink with coworkers. I think we all know why grown men talk to teenage girls and I mean the ones below 18. Let’s not pretend we are talking about 18/19 year old teens when this discussion happens. Even so, It’s still weird to befriend them.
@666Maggotz Why is it weird to have younger friends? It’s only weird when putting yourself in a compromising situation. I’m 37 my oldest friend is 73 and my youngest friend is 21.
@Gingerbreadspice because adults being friends with MINORS is weird. Do you not get the point I’m making here? Why would a grown adult want to be friends with someone is middle/high school?
From my experience, it’s because no grown man wants to be friends with a 14/15 year unless they’re a groomer and wants to take advantage of their naivety.
@666Maggotz Yes that’s weird and I mentioned that in my first comment, but the context was why would any adult befriend a teen. I met my friend when I was 16 and she was 33, she and my mum met the same day as well but over 20 years later we are still friends.
@Gingerbreadspice yeah and I doubt she was hanging out with you all the time and having deep personal conversations with you. I made older friends as an 18/19 year old because we had the same jobbut every single grown man that talked to me as minor was a predator (hence why I specifically called out men ). Grown adults that go out of their way to befriend teens are creepy. It’s purposely seeking them out that gives me the red flag. It doesn’t even have to be a 50 year old. 30 year old men that target 18 year old girls are still weird af.
