My belly button ring set off a school metal detector 🤦‍♀

My workplace was donating some furniture to a local high school and they have metal detectors at their entrances. While I was entering with a few of the shipping/receiving guys in my department, we deposited all of our keys and other metals into a bin and when I passed through, the metal detector went off. I had to tell the resource officer that I have a piercing while gesturing to my midsection. Luckily, they didn’t ask to see it and just gave me a quick scan with their handheld metal detector and let me move along, but that was a little embarrassing. Now a few of my co-workers know I have one. 🙄
