Whats something embarrassing you ever said?

I was about 22, I was quite tipsy, I had been out clubbing with my friends, we were all travelling to London the next weekend, for shopping clubbing etc. We were talking about it and I announced,

"omg, I can't wait to go to the S&M clubs",

everyone just looks at me and laughs, nobody questioning me.. Nobody says anything but they are all laughing at me and I was puzzled... Only later I realised what I said, I meant to say R&B, I really don't know why the other thing came out of my mouth... But by that stage explaining myself would have seemed like I was trying to cover up... So I said nothing 😭🤣

When I was in 9th grade my history teacher - Mr. Charles Harris (who was mostly bald except the sides of his head) came into his classroom making sure all of the students were inside and not in the hall. He called on me and said ok - my name - turn to chapter 5 and start reading aloud. I said ok Mr. Hairless. He gave me a shocked look, all the classmates started laughing and teased and taunted me. I opened my book laid my head on my desk and covered my face with it. My face was so red. He was one teacher who didn’t put up with any crap from anyone. He told me to go to the bathroom for a few mins and calm down. I did and as soon as I left the room he laid down hell in yelling to the rest of them. I instantly felt better and went to the bathroom and wet a paper towel trying to calm myself down. I came back and everyone was quiet and didn’t say a thing when I came back. Mr. Harris asked if I was feeling better, and I said yes thank you. He said good, but I want to see you at my desk after class. I said yes sir. The rest of class time we all read our history chapters in silence. When class was over, I went to his desk and I apologized profusely. He said I know you are not the type to cause trouble. And believe me I’ve been called worse. It was a simple slip of the tongue or you had a bad day or something. But I will not put up with crap like what they did to you in my classroom. Have a good rest of your day and don’t think about this anymore. And don’t let them get to you. I said thank you and you too Mr. Harris. I left for my next class and nobody said anything more about the incident ever. I don’t know what he said to them but whatever it was, it worked. 👍🙂
