If it came from school, it wasn't from class, rather, it was from my classmates. As for my parents, as a kid, I accidentally spied on them, and the first time I saw condoms was from my parents' stash.

@IamCuriousBabe Interesting way to discover. I never have any experiences of my parents being intimate and they divorced when I was 12. Mum never helped, and dad had nothing to do with my in my teens onwards. I freaked out about anything to do with girlfriends in high school so probably shuttered any thoughts about it out of my head.

@zonavar68 That's tough. I was so aware about sex (and the perils of unprotected sex) I actually AVOIDED dating until I was 21.

The sex education at school was exclusively heterosexual. I had to go to my mum (who is a nurse) and the school chaplain for knowledge that I could actually use 🙃

We only got the biology of the genders from school, and the basic 'mechanics ' of it .
My mum gave me a book on puberty.
It was all horribly basic.
I think my best education was the guy who was my first. We werent in love. But he knew I was a virgin for years and always looked out for me when we were out clubbing.
And he laughingly volunteered to help me out whenever I finally decided not to be a virgin any more.
It ended being a wonderful night full of laughter and giggles and sillyness ....and heaps of experimentation.
I kinda wish I'd taken a more serious attitude to him ....he was a great guy .
