Forced Public Education?

I am pro public education and against private, especially Christian schools. Our society needs a large population of well rounded and truly intelligent kids to take over one day. Your thoughts?

@LamontCranston take it from a victim of the New York City Public School system. They did me no favors. When I got into college I had to take remedial classes to bring me up to college kevel.
