@Elevatorpitches This is true of course. As a foreigner, I just see how many atrocities are carried out there by unhinged individuals, and a propensity for violence that doesn’t make sense in a developed country. As far as I’m aware, there are no schools in Europe that employ police officers to keep the peace in schools and defend schoolchildren from nutters with enough guns to equip an army.

@Elevatorpitches I don't think it is actually unique to the US. We just seem to have honed it better than most. I am.no constitutional scholar, but the wordbusage in the amendment was carefully crafted when speaking of "people," and "militia." Unfortunately those NRA followers have pushed a certain definition which I personally believe is incorrect.
