Besides ordinary Belgian universy students, the students of the Royal Military School (KMS) have also the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus exchange programs and spend a semester at a foreign partner institution, both in Europe and across the Atlantic (United States and Canada).
Needly to say, these exchanges offer the students the unique chance to enrich themselves with splendid experiences on academic, cultural, and human levels. Personally, I'm very glad to see the British students back in the EU's Erasmus+ student exchange programme from next year onwards.
In the photograph the KMS student dressed in his splendid military uniform that dates from 1834 had the opportunity to stay at the US Military Academy in West Point. There, he met NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, and they had a conversation. We'll just pretend that it was a very interesting one.
@emiliya It is sad that young people lost an opportunity to study and socialise freely with other European students as a result of a decision influenced overwhelmingly by the older electorate.
But that unjust situation has been remedied now, I'm sure you will be pleased to hear 🙂
