It's kinda refreshing to hear younger people become surprised that I never went to college

I'm one of the three managers of my department and run a whole portion of it with two co-assistants who work directly under me, yet I've never spent a single day in college. The summer youth employment teens we have working for us this summer were all marveled at that. I guess they're still teaching kids in school that BS that they need to go to college to achieve in life. Of course they are. But I'm living proof that that's not true and I'm not the only one. You can look up plenty of famous and highly successful people who never went to college. While there are professions out there that make it a requirement, but college is not a necessity to get somewhere in life and they should tell anyone who judges them for not attending to go suck it. I just hope they learned that today.
