College life is so different than in my day I doubt anything I said would be relevant. But looking ahead, I would advise you not to become over-confident after you complete that freshman year! I became so over-confident and overly-involved in extracurricular things my sophomore year that I flunked out. Same happened to my older brother in his generation (and he was 9 years older, so it was like a generation), and while my mother didn't flunk out, she ran into grade troubles her sophomore year. Didn't affect my son or my grandkids, but then I warned them -- so I'll pass the same warning on to you. 😜

I assume this must differ in various countries and even in individual dorms.
For example, when my cousin was in Taiwan with her bf, they couldn't stay together because there were only same sex dorms allowed.

You're actually too old for college. Suggest you stay at home and do online studies and skip any attempt to enter the college social scene.
