My second college degree came in the mail today!

After high school I originally went to school for PharmD (PhD program to be a pharmacist) and got my bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical science, but hated working as a pharmacist so I dropped out in year 5 out of 6 and didn't finish the PhD part. Realized I want to be a hospital lab scientist instead so I went back for a post-baccalaureate certificate which is basically just a faster second bachelor's degree for a scientist changing into a different field. It took a whole three years because I had to pause my studies for a year to give birth to my daughter, we both almost died during the birth and I thought I would recover, but instead I developed a terminal illness and ended up having to finish the program while battling this. I am not in good physical condition and had to intern full-time in a big hospital lab for 4 months straight, so I was very close to not graduating due to my medical problems, but I made it happen. Very proud of myself for finishing this just in case the doctors are somehow able to save my life, because if they can, I will one day be a scientist just like I always dreamed of as a kid

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this being SW and all. Let's run through the numbers:

Finished high school, let's say age 18.

Put 5 years into a 6 year PhD program, you're now 23.

Took a year off to have your daughter. You're now 24.

You had a terminal illness. You're a medical sciences professional. Terminal illness, means you're dead. So, then your 22-25 profile, is now 25 and dead.

Nevertheless, you go through another year, you're now 26.

Then 3 more years to finish your second degree. The timeline says 29. Do you want to modify your SW age?

@Northwest I finished high school at 16, started pharmacy school at 17, graduated with bachelor's in 2020 when I was 21 turning 22 that year, started MLS program in fall 2021, graduated it just now, and I'm now 25 turning 26 this year. So I got a little head start. My profile age is accurate lol. I was born in 98. I have been terminally ill for the past year and am currently going through treatment to try saving my life
