I Am In College

I am in college drwy’r amser. I can’t remember the English. Like every day. I am doing Art and Design. I live at home on the farm. The bus stop is 12km away! So It’s a long day! But I love it. I just left school. I miss school but I have so many friends in college. It’s amazing.

Good luck. I thought about majoring in art, my family was opposed at that time, it was not masculine to do. I ended up in medicine but stayed interested in art. I still draw, paint, photograph and sculpt. So, the point, follow your dreams.

Oh. Thank you. In school they wanted me to do languages and go to Oxbridge. They said Art isn’t a real subject. I still feel uneasy about my choice but I love Art. @samueltyler2

@Hepsie I had that discussion with my dad at about your age. So I took a liberal arts degree in college, worked in the television studio and paid for tuition from proceeds from photographing news, sports and social events. Unfortunately, he died but I did go on to a medical degree which allowed me to do art as a hobby.

Oh. You are an Artist like me. My teachers at school didn’t want me to do Art. I am still at school but I have my place in uni. @samueltyler2

@Hepsie sounds similar but you have the choice to do what you want now.

But you stayed in Medicine. And saved lives, @samueltyler2

@Hepsie yes, I did, I had a very successful and fun career, but I also wanted to have a creative outlet. so I stayed active in art. you can do both.
Hepsie · 22-25, F
I can’t do what you did. But I can express what so many girls go through. @samueltyler2

@Hepsie I am not sure what you are alluding to, but I assume even in Wales, females have many more possibilities than years ago.
Hepsie · 22-25, F
Yes. But it can be difficult. @samueltyler2
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Hepsie it would have been impossible 50 years ago. We had only 1 woman in a class of 86 medical students, not the rate is 50%!
Hepsie · 22-25, F
In Art school it is the other way round. We are mostly girls! @samueltyler2
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Hepsie yes, creativity, especially art, is not considered masculine. My dad was afraid I was becoming a homosexual, at least not masculine enough for him.
Hepsie · 22-25, F
Men need a little femininity. Or maybe they don’t. Just enough to love their wives and children. @samueltyler2
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Hepsie I agree, that is very modern though. In prior generations a man had to be the macho man, no femininity allowed, never cry!

let's chat at another time. I have to run, and it must be very late for you anyway.

It is! @samueltyler2
