I Am In College
So I work in an office on campus that makes student and staff IDs. The first ID is free for students and staff but we charge a fee for replacements. It’s mostly students that need new ones and most of them pay without complaint.
The is far less staff that need replacement but they are more likely to get bitchy about the fee.
Like this one lady in here today. She couldn’t clock in because of a scratch on the magnetic strip.
I told her about the fee and she started bitching. I asked my supervisor about it even though I knew what the answer would be.
She left saying she wasn’t going to pay and that she would have her supervisor log her hours on the computer.
Her supervisor who was a dean of one of the divisions came in and told my supervisor that he didn’t want to clock her in and out all the time and managed to talk my supervisor into getting her new one.
This is her sixth ID card.
I don’t get why staff are so much worse than students about paying for a new ID.
