I Am In College

As tuition goes up each year is college even worth the student loan debt. Back when my mom was in college(my dad went to a trade school), a degree was really worth something. Nowadays, it seems students are more in debt and are working minimum wage jobs to pay off that instead of working in the field they got a degree in, unless you're going for the medical field. I've been at my junior college for 3 years and hated it every since day one. The only reason I'm still in college because I'll be done next year. To be honest I've learned more from my PE classes that I took than from my required classes that I have to take. The education system isn't what it use. I believe high school and college should teach basic life skills and actually prepare us for the working world we have to ascend to after graduation.

College students used to be able to pursue a career that truly interested them, and they would be able to be financially secure. Now, students need to choose a high paying field even if they know that they won't enjoy the work, just so that they can repay their student loans. It's crazy. There is a college in southern MO called College of the Ozarks. It is virtually tuition free if the student works while in the school. It is a fantastic deal.

@Autumnlover I heard some colleges are tuition but most of them are in Europe. I didn't know there were some in the US except for San Francisco but you have to be living there for a year in order to get free education
Yes, but it's totally worth it. Getting out of college without being $60,000 in debt is worth relocating for 5 years.

@Autumnlover yes you're right about that.
