When one door closes.....🚪

Now that I know I've lost my job, I've decided to do something I've been wanting to do for the LONGEST time, I'm talking since high school.

I want to get my phlebotomy certification.

I wanted to do this years ago after high school, but the town I lived in didn't offer the class, so I took medical billing and coding instead. Turns out that school wasn't accredited, so I wasted my time and money. It soured me against school for a long time.

In my thirties a family member convinced me to go into respiratory therapy, and the only thing I really liked about that experience was the drawing blood part! 💉 But I never pursued it.

Then a while back, here on THIS site, a perfect stranger reached out to me and suggested I go into Phlebotomy because she lives in my area, has her certification, and apparently there are lots of those jobs available here. (Ok, sign from the universe! How could she have known that was a secret goal of mine?) Then, two days ago, a different person posted on her socials that she's officially registered at a local school to do (guess?!) phlebotomy, medical assisting, and medical billing and coding! Ok universe, I hear you. 👂🏻

Now that I have been released from this miserable job, I'm going to have a lot of free time, and I have decided to go for it and FINALLY get certified in what I WANT to do. I have found two schools in my area that offer the course, and I will be looking into each one to figure out which is the best option for my own needs. (Location, cost, level of education, etc)

I can't help but feel like this was meant to be. It has given me a little bit of hope for the future I may be able to give myself. 🌟

It does sound like the stars have aligned. Go for it. Be successful in it. You’ve earned it.

Might want to check with some of the employers to see if they have a preference for one school over another
DearAmbellina2113 · 46-50, F
@Pretzel how would I go about doing that?!

My old friend Art, advised me that; When God closes a door He opens a window!
Funny how it's at this point in life the things we actually want to do start appearing

I can already feel the struggle this involves but find your way through it. This is your potential exit. Keep at it.

@DearAmbellina2113 $$$ without a job.
DearAmbellina2113 · 46-50, F
@Gibbon I will be collecting unemployment until I find another one. And I will need financial aid for school but I'm ready to take that on. I also have retirement I can cash out if need be.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@DearAmbellina2113 Well that makes it work. You need this go for it
Do it!

Also, pokin people is fun. I got so good at it that sometimes I’d get called off the street if someone on a hospital floor had a tough stick and needed help. I love hearing people tell me I won’t get it lol.

Sounds like a plan, the universe is directing you and guidance from the spirits. It’s too much of a coincidence that your dreams, goals and desires are falling into place along with the suggestions of others. Good luck, positive vibes and a happy ending to your dream.
