My summer is not going to be fun, but it'll be worth it.
My life is about to be even more consumed by work and school. Summer 2026 is my final semester before receiving my Master's, but I need to do my field study this summer in order to graduate. And I still need to be able to work full time.
Luckily, I was able to get a schedule worked out with my field study placement that allows me to be present one day during the week and then on Saturdays. Every week. From June 15th to August 21st. I'm gonna be so exhausted. 😭
I have enough PTO that I will still get paid for the one day per week that I won't be at work. My boss is pretty lax, and she's always worked around my school schedule for me, so getting her to agree to this was pretty easy.
I will also be taking my final elective course in the second half of the summer, so that's when the exhaustion will really kick in.
BUT only a few more months until I'm done and then I will be a "master-bater" as my dad would say. I miss that guy.
