Im an international student , we pay our way , we dont rely on anyone else to fund our education , we study really hard in order to be successful. I know not all of us are the same , some do break rules or take advantage of the usa and other countries which those shouldnt be allowed to stay I agree , we shouldnt all be punished because of the odd few. Some of us work tones of jobs back at home to fund our studies abroad , we dont budren others. This is heartbreaking because studying in the usa has been an dream for so many , many of us have gave up so much to make it possible.

Trump claims they support "anti-Semitism" but looked at from outside of the USA's feverish domestic politics, I wonder if he is really only vexed that they allow staff and students to express views he dislikes.
While his other excuse, "anti-American views"; whatever he believes them to be, echoes the ironically-titled House Un-American Committee that wrecked the livelihoods of so many academics and entertainers last Century.
I do not accuse President Trump of going as far as Presidents Erdogan (Turkey - where jailing journalists is the government's favourite sport) and Orban (Hungary), even if he admires such men. Yet I think these developments ought worry all Americans, whatever their personal Party loyalties, whatever their academic backgrounds.
While this could also lead to overseas repercussions, particularly risking cramping international academic co-operation.

This is a very concerning development. Unfortunately, as with all of Trump's actions, he has a grain of truth in his accusations, but then he blows that up with untruth, exaggeration and malice.

The only thing about trump that really surprises me is that no one has actually done anything about him yet.. Clearly the people behind him are waiting for things to get so bad that they declaring Martial Law or a suspension of legal rights "to restore order" will be accpetable..I guess that means the rioting looting and killing has to get worse..😷

I am surprised he is also not making universities pay a tariff for the importation of international students.

@JoyfulSilence Don't give him ideas.

A ridiculous, vindictive, spiteful action. Universities do more to redress the trade deficit than Trump's fantasy factories ever will.

Totally insane!
