Considering a second degree?

I've read a book called the alchemist by Paulo Coelho where he talked about something called personal legend, in other words it's the spark/feeling you get about something as if it's calling you, or as if it's your purpose.
it can be a place to travel to, a job to work, etc.
my case is that after i finished my degree in MIS (Which i truly love and respect) I discovered that I want to work in the field of teaching Literature.. annotation, poetry , etc.. which is too far from my education but too into my real hobbies and personality.
I was afraid to choose English as a major from the first place because i was worried that i won't get a proper job fast.
getting another degree requires a huge deal of money and time that i should start plan to save.
so if you were in my place would you follow your passion or continue on doing something you like but doesn't make you feel like this is you?

Well before u waste money on a new degree. I would make sure u can even use that degree in your area.
