Spent the last 4 years of my life studying chemistry, just so that I can spend the next 6 realizing that I don’t know anything about chemistry

This phenomenon is actually behind a lot of problems in the world. Everyone likes to follow confident leaders. People who educate themselves tend to become less confident because they become aware of how much they still don't know. Whereas that random dumbass over there is like "I got this!" While the educated person begins hedging and accounting for unknowns. So people listen to the dumbass because he sounds more confident.
