I had to go to school on Saturday mornings. That was a long time ago, of course. I doubt it happens much now. As to why, well, one might as well ask, why not.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@MartinII Why not? It just doesn't seem right, that's why not.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@Crazychick Sorry, but why doesn’t it? It seems neither right nor wrong to me.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@MartinII Convention, I suppose.
Moonpenny · F
@Crazychick Whose convention though?
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Moonpenny I don't know, I didn't invent it, I've just always accepted it as being the way it is.
Moonpenny · F
@Crazychick Sorry, invent what?
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Moonpenny The convention of school timetables. That was invented long before I was born.
Moonpenny · F
@Crazychick Different schools, different timetables...
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Moonpenny Yes, I know, but they are all Monday to Friday. One school might do maths on Monday and Thursday, another school might do maths on Tuesday and Friday, but they are still within the conventional limits.
Moonpenny · F
@Crazychick But all schools aren't Monday-Friday. However, in all schools the timetable is decided upon by government guidelines and then fine-tuned by the senior management of each school depending on its specific requirements.
