I'd say 4 is a good age. I think I read 3 is a good age to show/tell kids how to dial 911 if there is something 'bad' going on, or someone is hurt. They said to share the address as well, and I think if you make it a repeat kind of mantra for them, they'll remember it (address). I think 3 or 4 is def. a great age for kids to know their name and address

@Coralmist I agree. Of course, when I was a kid back in the 1950s there was no 911.

I taught my kids early but was surprised that they had this stuff included in the
1st grade curriculum ... the kids actually learned where they lived and had to ‘learn’ how to dial a phone ... we as parents had to answer the phone when the kids called during school hours ... sooooo what age is that?! 6!
