Ego problem??

Someone explain this to me, whenever I say the things that I can do intellectual wise I have to prove it. The people who want proof are not giving me a job they're not introducing me to someone who will give me a job but they need proof that I'm good at what I do. To top it off, it's my professors that do this. I have professors from different countries so they speak multiple languages and I speak multiple languages the second they see I speak more than them it just cannot be true and they try to humiliate me (which never works). But I'm not trying to compete with my professors I don't think I'm better I just wanna get my degree and move on. What's up with that?

@GerOttman Well, I'm going deaf, been hit in the back of the head with a laptop because my skin color, called everything from a to z because of my skin color, choked twice, two people have tried to drown me on two different occasions, been burnt with scalding water and this was all before age 15. I'm pretty acquainted with parts of the real world.

how are they "seeing" you speak more languages in the first place?

@texasdaddydom It gets mentioned by fellow students. Example, French professor speaks five languages and she was telling us about it. A fellow student said well genesis speaks thirteen. The professor didn't need to know that it was irrelevant.

@SW-User I hope not I usually just sit on the side and try to listen. I may crack a joke here or there with other students but that's it. I turn my work in on time and when I don't know something I ask for help.
If you're right though I gotta be mindful of that.

Some of those who can't do anything, they teach. Your professors may fall in that category. They must have chosen those careers for the heck of a job. Some people are pretty bad at dealing with their own ignorance and always handle things with ego.

@SW-User That's sad but true. Some of these professors are really brilliant but can't handle if one person may be better than them. There's no competition I'm learning from you
