Ego problem??

Someone explain this to me, whenever I say the things that I can do intellectual wise I have to prove it. The people who want proof are not giving me a job they're not introducing me to someone who will give me a job but they need proof that I'm good at what I do. To top it off, it's my professors that do this. I have professors from different countries so they speak multiple languages and I speak multiple languages the second they see I speak more than them it just cannot be true and they try to humiliate me (which never works). But I'm not trying to compete with my professors I don't think I'm better I just wanna get my degree and move on. What's up with that?

@LyricalOne I would be fine with that if they did that equally to everyone. I am up for being challenged that's why I go to school I like challenges that make me think just don't deliberately insult my intelligence to me that just crosses a line.

@LyricalOne I have and the professor from the Ivory Coast said "I'm harder on the students I feel have a big ego to bring them back to reality"

The professor from Senegal said "I just don't think you can do that, I thought you were lying. "

@SW-User I hope not I usually just sit on the side and try to listen. I may crack a joke here or there with other students but that's it. I turn my work in on time and when I don't know something I ask for help.
If you're right though I gotta be mindful of that.
