Homework: good or bad, and how much is too much (at various ages/grades)?

Homework may be good, but I've never seen this.
When i got homework, it was always redundant as fuck. Stuff we've been learning for a week. Stuff we've been tested on. Yet they want to send us home with more of the same crap. Or want us to make a diagram of the order of the planets. How the fuck is that relavent?

@VolpeTredici Review can be useful to ensure you don't forget things you just spend so much time trying to learn, but of course, it needs to be sensible review. Idk why you have to make a diagram of the order of the planets, but you should have to study a diagram of them that already exists.

@VolpeTredici You ought to know more than that which has direct application in your particular life. It gives you a better perspective of your position in space, which is simply enlightening.
