Democrats were evil then, and are just as evil now. The declaration of independence clearly states;

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

Listen to V.p. Kamala Harrris manipulate this well known document, and you might understand what I mean.

@Guitarman123 look at it historically. Not every person is able to be a Rothschild banker. The haves always have been out numbered by the have nots. I dont support slavery or comunisim, bc its stagnant or regressive. However, wealth providing for its "workers" by providing room and board has historically kept costs reasonable. So what my point is gov. Subsidies take away from all, vs privet funding to provide. Its more complex then that statement, but hopefully you get the jist of my point.
@Guitarman123 Yes! 100%, then theyd learn a skill, and be productive, even if it were tending a garden, etc...
@Guitarman123 we have to many claiming to be incapable, its a negative on society. Every able bodied person should be doing a task that benefits society, in order to receive their reward.

@Guitarman123 our society puts well paying jobs in cubicles, well what society needs is food and shelter. I disagree evey person needs to be highly educated. That is the reason we are seeing the student loan debate. If one is not intellectual enough, they should not be put ahead of one that comes from fiscal inability. #Abe Lincoln on that note..

@checkoutanytime it does need food and shelter, all people need that regardless of background or lack of occupation. Education is incredibly important as it increases intelligence, independent thought and chances of getting more worthwhile jobs that are fulfilling.

@checkoutanytime people who are unable to work are left to starve by majority of society. America spends 800 billion dollars on the military whilst ignoring the Millons of people in poverty. Free education enables everybody to have the same chances as opposed to kids from rich parents
