From a psychology stand point, trying to point out the falsehoods of a person’s internalized belief system only serves to make them dig in deeper and defend it.
Don’t argue. Don’t accuse. Instead, gently encourage them to look at the voting records of the party in question and just leave it there. If they were ever capable of independent rational thought, they *might* eventually do it. If not, no amount of facts will sway them.
