I have a lot of decent guys in my life, friends and relatives…

And I will always stand up for them. 🤨
But with the "jokes" some guys make, I also understand why some women are very afraid of men. 🥺

I'm not sure some guys realize how scary some things are for women.
Jokes mixing se* and violence are not cool and when you tell these to most women they wonder why you're doing this and it can be very upsetting.

I know they don't cat call as much as they used to,but if you got one guy it's scary enough if there's two or more... you don't know if they're going to chase you down the street or not.

I used to say if you wouldn't want that said to your sister ,daughter , wife, or granddaughter don't say it to somebody else's sister, daughter, wife,or granddaughter.
@Justmeraeagain That’s a good mode of behavior.

I can relate to that. Sometimes my male friends can say a sexist joke that’s really bad.
I’m not afraid of men. I think most need to be taken down a peg or two and consider it my personal mission to facilitate this process. I know many good men.
@Notladylike I started with that point, too. But when some "joke" about seeing women as "prey", it’s a little too close to what many girls and women experience. Even I once had to literally fight my way out of a guy’s car after a date, during college. Back in those days, that was considered "funny". It sure didn’t feel amusing. 😳

We had a Limerick woman beaten within an of her life two years ago and last week the solder that done it, only got years suspended sentence
So its true what you say ♥️

Well, popular movies usually are a commonality.

I believe you know which movie.
@DeWayfarer The reference to Silence of The Lambs ? Sure, but the context was different.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard it's not the type of movie I usually watch. And to some it's pretty sick movie. In other words frightening.
@DeWayfarer Same, here. And I’ve only watched it once. It supposedly references the acts of rl killer Ed Gein, who was pretty sick.
Yeah it feels like it comes down to personality and character ~ gender has nothing to do with manners it’s just biology 🧬

Some people’s heads are very sadistic

Some people think with their hearts

Billions of people in one world interacting in different ways but thankfully only 7 % according to statistics are rotten apples
@ThreeLittleBirds I would like to think it’s a small percentage…but apparently they get around.

I choose the bear
SilentObZerver · 22-25, M
@iamonfire696 funny how some women see men as Assailants

Funny
@SilentObZerver If none were assailants, no one would. It’s actually unfortunate that so many girls and women have had that experience. And when boys have been assaulted, the majority of times (not all, to be certain), it was by men, too.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@SilentObZerver not all men but I don’t trust strangers.

I have had men I don’t know try to sexually assault me and men I do know sexually assault me. This is why in that metaphor I choose the bear.

If you’re not one of these men why does it matter? It’s not pointed at you.

@empanadas You don’t. You joke, but it’s fairly obvious you have a heart of gold. 😊
